“Worked in Vietnam for a few years now and at some of the big schools. This is by far the better one I've worked at. Pay is decent, schedules are good, nice holiday too. They have workshops and check in on you to ask how you're getting on so I've definitely learned some new skills while being h...”
At last Vietnam has a dog-friendly resort. My girlfriend and I stayed the weekend with our puppy and found the staff very welcoming and accommodating. The best feature of this resort is the atmosphere. The gardens are extensive and well maintained and the beach is only meters away. Recommended in the highest possible terms!
The resort is very attractive with well maintained gardens and is located on the beach. It’s a great and wonderful relaxing atmosphere for families.
We only tried the Ocean Restaurant. Food was great, although the breakfast let us down on our third day.
The rooms are very spacious and delightfully decorated, although in need of some modernisation. There is WIFI available in all rooms but the speed in not fast. Try Delux2 rather than Van Chai, its much faster.
Staffs are charmingly friendly and always ready to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible. You are always greeted with a warm and genuine smile. Special thanks to Ms. Thuy in the Public Relation Department who has gone out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
We tried the historic tour, however that day was too hot and we had to come back early.
Interesting one !
- Beautiful site, peaceful atmosphere, all natural materials, no bling bling !
- Extra-ordinary family room
- Sam Son is true VN experience. No foreigners, nobody speaks EN out of the hotel. Perfect for practicing you VN.
- Swimming pool
- Good food
- Sam Son can be difficult for newcomers. Need to know a bit of VN and the dos and the donts
- IMO, overpriced out of promotions
- HN-Sam Son = 4h driving on terrible road
- corporate karaoke inside the hotel Sunday PM
- need to learn how to serve wine
PS: We had excellent seafood/fish on the large popular restaurant at the corner outside the hotel, clear bill.
Everything inside this resort is good. Nice view, clean room, good service and really good food.
But be careful when you walk outside. There are a lot of "traps" to steal your money.
Let me tell you my story: I walked to the shore and asked my cousin to take a photo of me with some small boats. After a few shots, one fisherman came to me and told me that I had to pay for the pictures. I refused b'cause it's ridiculous. Then he threatened me that I would be in trouble if he called some other friends. Well, okay I paid him then.
So some pieces of advice:
- Never talk to local
- Never touch anything
- Never take picture of local and just anything that belongs to local
- Never even look at them!
Hope you enjoy!
