“Though a dedicated resident of Hanoi, I ventured to HCMC and found a few fun and friendly places to drink without getting accosted by hostesses. Bread & Butter was by far the best for many reasons - a good location, cool folk hanging out, reasonable prices, great Huda beer, and a really friendly ...”
I visited this salon for a haircut, based on recommendations read here. As my hair is thin and straight, good haircut is a must in my situation. Also, i have a fairly short hair and need a cut every 5-6 weeks. I’m fully pleased I found this place and thank all reviewers for posting.
One outdated piece of info here is salon’s address. Apparently three years ago they moved to 67 Pham Hong Thai Street in Ba Dinh. Just so others who go there for the first time can have easier time finding it.
I had 6 months worth of regrowth, with quite dark roots I desperately wanted to fix. Realising how difficult it would be to find a decent hairdresser for blonde hair in Hanoi I was a little hesitant to take any risks, however I'm glad I did! Mr Dinh and his ?wife were so attentive and careful throughout the entire hair dying process. I have quite thick hair and it can be quite a challenge for any hairdresser to dye it properly, but Mr Dinh did a wonderful job! It's been a week since my visit and my hair is still a beautiful, natural blonde, even after many washes, no brassiness or dryness.
I would definitely recommend anyone to go to Dinh hair salon for a decent cut/colour!
50 USD for an amazing cut and color. Mr. Dinh and his wife are a great team. I got full blonde highlights and they came out amazing...blondes have no fear! Also the cut was exactly what I was looking for. Go to Mr. Dinhs and you won't be disappointed :)
I was very pleasantly surprised by Mr Dinh's hair salon - it's exactly the type of place you want to go if you have fine and/or curly Western hair and need a reliable cut or trim. I didn't get my hair coloured, so can't comment on that. But Mr Dinh took one look at my sample picture and knew exactly what I wanted - even put words in my mouth. He was careful in asking for confirmation that he had understood correctly and checking the cut carefully afterwards. He obviously has a ton of experience with Western hair as he cuts with confidence and not like the other nervous hair stylists I've had in the past. The price is reasonable, so even though his English is perfect, you know you're not walking into a place that is just trying to cater to Westerners for their money. Now that I've found his shop, I'll never get my haircut anywhere else - couldn't be happier!
Very skilled haircut. Mr Dinh was very polite and we communicated what i wanted easily with photo references. However, for my curly hair, his shampoo was a little harsh. But my hair is very fickle, so i doubt other people will have this problem. Next time i go to see him, ill take my own products for them the use. Definitely plan on going back! Thank you!
