Dodgy. The manager, Mai, is very unprofessional, ignores messages and emails. At the end she blocked me as I was asking for a simple document that I needed to extend my visa during the time of COVID. The government and the people are doing their best to help one another but there still are snakes who operate on the logic 'do as little work as possible, get as much money as possible'. Stay away from that place
We interviewed at this place and it seems fishy. Not a nice place. They do not offer support or even a letter for work visa.
They had us do a demo lesson in a dungy small room with a just a couch and without "real" students. Just a HR person.
They offered us and another teacher we saw there just $17 an hour. We both walked out and refused to sign the contract and so did the other teacher. They would not increase the rate from $17 despite trying to negotiate a higher salary.
They seem to be a temp agency for public schools.
This company are beyond a joke . They throw around words like IELTS and full-time with no further information and offer wages that are frankly a disgrace.
I feel sorry for any school or students who have paid them money . They look for the cheapest possible option and just hope it works with no care whatsoever in the education of their clients . I was offered a position of 25 hours a week for teaching 'IELTS' with no more information other than that . They should not be allowed to offer courses with which they have no knowledge of . The level of incompetence shown by SIC is a new low , even for me after working with many wonderful companies and schools in the past . I honesty hope they are shut down because they have no right to make money from education .
