Dont waste your money! Sauna and all that stuff? They will rush you through it you will learn what humiliation is. If you wanna experience humiliation and naked, try this place. Massagers massage your face after they pick their nose. It was THE worst experience for me. I went to the one near Tay Son

I can't believe I'm actually going to let out the amazing secret that is this place.
I'll preface this by saying that in 3.5 years of coming here with both expat friends and tourists, there hasn't been a single person who has said it's anything less than amazing. The tourists want to go another time, and friends change their regular massage place to here.
I'm actually reluctant to give this place up... please keep this place guarded amongst friends.
Anyway, this is a legitimate massage house next to Long Bien hotel. No funny business.
You can pay for 45/60/120 minutes. I think 120 minutes is about $10 now. You then get to go through the next stages at your own leisure. All of the below is included in the price (but my g/f said you should tip the masseuse about 50-100k depending on how long you get massaged)

1: A hot shower
2: Soak in a wooden mineral tub.
3: Personal jacuzzi (ask for some of their ginger tea -tra gung, while you're soaking )
4: Sauna
5: steambath
6: shower
7: massage for remaining time
8: A delicious bowl of Chao Ca.

The facilities are clean and nice. The room where you soak has a roman bath feel to it, with renditions of paintings such as Madonna hanging up. It's nice.
I tend to spend about 30 minutes (60 minute package) to 50 minutes 120 minute package) soaking and steaming, then the rest of the time doing massage.
I've gone here a million times and tried a lot of different masseuses. They are all very skilled and fantastic. Never had a bad experience and generally they are up with the best massages I've had. None of them have ever offered any "extra service" either which is nice.
After your massage, there's hair products, and you go next door to Long Bien hotel(assuming you can walk) for a yummy bowl of Chao ca.
The value of this place is without equal.

My only gripes are that some masseuses like to do neck manipulations. Make sure to tell them first if you don't like that.
As far as I know not many of the staff talk English. Pretend you don't talk much Vietnamese or else you might get dragged into a conversation.
When you find a masseuse whose style you like, you can get their name and room number and ask for them in the future.
So there you have it, the best value legit massage place IMHO in Hanoi!

My girlfriend and I went there this August and it was pretty cool. We paid upfront 200,000 or 250,000 Dong each for 1h45mins (can't remember exactly) and went off to the men/women's side of the spa.
We expected to spend more time soaking in the tubs, in the jacuzzi and sitting in the sauna but it seemed we were whisked around the circuit to be sent upstairs for the massage.
Once upstairs they take care of you head to toe, for a 1h20minish massage. Everything was clean, relaxing and no monkey business. I couldn't have asked for more. Tipping your masseuse is also expected.
Once back in the lobby, they serve you tea, fruit and Chao Ca.
Being a foreigner seemed like a novelty to them, which was also unexpected. There was not so much English spoken a part from the enthusiastic "hello!" here and there. A true find.

Gone through major renovations and the grunge factor is disappearing (for better or for worse).

I went to this bathhouse/massage place last Sunday. Not quite knowing what to expect, I felt at ease as soon as the staff welcomed me in and helped me navigate the menu. Anyone who has experience a Korean or Japanese-style bath-house or sauna will understand what's going on. And the rules are quite simple, shower down and wash yourself thoroughly before getting in the herb-spiced hot baths. I don't believe this is natural spring water and one would expect that the bath-water is a little suspect. Korean/Japanese bath-houses have very strict laws under which they operate. In comparison, this place is feral. I would be surprised if the same attention is paid to maintaining standards of cleanliness, particularly with the water. But what is life without a little risk?
As the first reviewer says, the massages are legitimate. My masseuse was fantastic, except for one problem. She is obviously suffering from the flu or something even worse. No surgical mask means that I got more than a superb massage; I also got to take home a flu virus.
I tipped very well because I get the feeling these girls make very little and work hard. What's more, they're professionals and deserve to be rewarded.
So I think Huong Sen is a local experience off the tourist/expat trail. Its working-class rigor could be a little raw for those used to Western-style spas.
