We have lived here for many years and we have tried a wide range of dentists. One dental is by far the best dentist we have found! For my children, the dentists are truly amazing in handling kids and calming their anxiety. They really take the time to work with kids, and do an excellent job. .. for adults too! We could not be happier with one dental! All of the staff are truly wonderful.

This review is long overdue since i've been going to One Dental Clinic from day one, and i have been seeing Doctor Mitre since he was working on Van Phuc at the Family Medical Practice.

The level of care and dentistry provided by One Dental Clinic surpassed my expectation. You really feel in good hands.

It's very reassuring to hear your dentist confident and comfortable with any issues i had. You can sense the extensive experience behind the man.

Additionally, being treated in a very clean environment is always very welcome. Especially knowing that the water going through their turbine and mouth rinse is cleaned and filtered. The one thing you don't want is to have tap water to rinse your mouth after a dental treatment.
They are so clean, they don't even hide it. Their sterilization department has a clear window instead of being hidden behind walls.

It is without a doubt or question that i recommend this dental clinic to anyone.

In July 2014 I needed to see a dentist quickly to repair a chipped tooth. I contacted Peace Dental Clinic but the dentists were all on holiday. Then I contacted West Coast Dental Clinic but they could not fit me into their schedule. Finally, I contacted One Dental Clinic and the receptionist juggled their customer's existing appointments in order to fit me into their schedule on short notice.

The dentist who repaired my tooth was Dr. Anthony Pinto. He holds a DMD from the Philippines but there are other international specialists including Dr Michel Mitre who holds international dentistry degrees from Europe and Canada.

The equipment in the clinic was state of the art with much of it being imported from Europe. The compressor that powers the dental equipment is cloistered in its own room so the clinic is very quiet. It is more technically advanced than my dentist back home. The facility itself was spotlessly clean.

The dentist began by taking a photograph of the chip using a tiny camera and showing me the photograph on a digital screen. It took ten seconds. Then, Dr Pinto repaired the chip with skill and artistry and was patient through the entire process. He didn't finish on the tooth until I was satisfied with the results.

The fee to repair the chip was US$60. This is less than I would pay back home. My understanding is that most of their clients are embassy staff and ex-pats. So, this is not the clinic for you if you're a backpacker on a shoe-string budget. A cleaning is a steep US$75.

In short, if you need highly skilled dentistry with rigorous international professional standards, I can recommend One Dental Clinic. I remove one star because I think their prices for a cleaning are a bit too expensive. Oh, they also have a 10% discount for some of the international Chambers of Commerce such as Can-Cham Member. If I needed cosmetic or dental surgery, I would go back here again.

In general they have one of the best level of service found amongst dentist in Hanoi. From the uniform, the level of English from Vietnamese staff, the general cleaniness and standard of care. The standard of dental work is very good as well. You can't go wrong there.

The only thing that I am not sure of is their price. Their price is pretty much in line with what you will have to pay in the UK, the US and possbily other part of the developed world, which is fine. For someone in my circumstances where I needed numerous major operations, I found alternatives in hanoi that charged me a third of what I was quoted by One Dental clinic. This was considering the operations, the materials used, and the standard of work are the same. By going through the exact set of operations in two different clinics, I believe I have a good perspective here.

My operations involved crowns, implants, root canal treatment, extractions are various other procedures. It cost altogether $4300 and the other clinic I went to in Hanoi charged me $1300. The dentist there spoke good English and fully Qualified with international qualifications. The question is whether the more professional uniform, the better English spoken by dental nurses and the jazzier X-Ray machine was worth the extra $3000. I didn't think so. One Dental had the highest price out of 4 dental clinics in Hanoi which I obtained quotes for. Even a 10% discount by BBGV or Cancham membership would not have brought them close to the second highest quote I had. It begs the questions why is there such a big disparity on the price?

After this experience I really understand why some Americans will fly to Vietnam to get their teeth done. It's hard to believe that including the flight it can still be cheaper to come to Vietnam!! If you need some serious work done like I did then I would suggest you look around for better value. Even if the dental cost is pocket change for you I would rather donate the difference ($3000) to a charity instead of paying for a more expensive dentist.

If money is not an issue or you are only after a check up or a clean, One Dental will give you that peace of mind of knowing you are in very good hands. Otherwise do your research. I never experienced the excessive phone calls issue as highlighted by one previous review so I think they must have changed their ways by now or maybe it was never as bad as the previous review suggested.
