This place is definitely the pick out of the places in and around Nguyen Thai Hoc, but exercise caution if buying gym equipment here. Their stock changes a lot over the years and they don't seem to keep in contact with their old suppliers for repairs or replacement parts. I bought their top of the line flywheel exercise bike here about 3 years ago, and the pedal and wheel are now threaded and require replacement. They have absolutely no idea where to begin with this. The same can be said for the gym equipment, which seems to have changed and grown a lot smaller recently in favor of a huge selection of expensive treadmills.
Definitely worth a visit, but if you plan on being here a while and buying something chunky or expensive that may eventually need maintenance outside the initial 6 month warranty, make sure to explore this thoroughly before buying.

Sport 1 is a pretty well stocked sporting goods store. I bought a basic weights bench here a while ago because I decided that the spare room needed something to collect dust on (damn - missed new year's resolution time). One of the staff spoke pretty decent English and was very helpful, showing me a few options and telling me which items they had accessories for. The other staff didn't really seem to know much about the equipment, but the language barrier may account for that.

They also seem to have a decent line in workout clothes, equipment for various sports, and some proper multi-gym equipment. Prices weren't exactly cheap, but were clearly marked and not outrageously expensive. It's definitely a cut above the smaller stores on the same street which are packed high with plenty of (depending on your haggling skills) cheap but low quality items.
