“As a fashion lover, I really want to join in fashion industry and develop my career as a fashion designer and stylist. However I didn’t know how to start. The course at LCFS gives me a board view about fashion, beside design, pattern cutting etc, I also learnt about trend forecasting and business...”
with the growing number of preschools in hanoi, i'd like to put in a plug for this school. my 2 children attended Discover and Pre-K here and i couldn't be happier. i won't restate what has already been said, but would like to add that the staff has worked diligently with our specific dietary needs and even helped me on my mission to get my kiddos to drink more water and less juice (now they only ask for water)! they are very flexible with their schedule, allowing us to choose which days we like and not requiring a mon-fri attendance. we were also very lucky with both of their teachers, who showed a genuine concern not only with their achievements at school but also their personal growth. their holiday presentation is also quite impressive - great costumes and terrific age appropriate performances!
We enrolled our 3-year-old daughter in the Nursery Class at Rainbow School when we moved to Hanoi earlier this year. We’ve been really happy with our choice and very pleased with how much our daughter has learned and grown in a relatively short time at the school.
The curriculum provides just the right blend of structure with creativity and self-expression. The teachers have been thoughtful and caring, giving us regular updates about how our daughter is doing in terms of her social-emotional development and integration in the class, areas of learning that she enjoys most, etc.
We love the indoor facilities – especially the classrooms, which are colorfully decorated with children’s artwork and arranged into learning corners. An added bonus is the well-protected balcony space in each classroom that creates a link with the outdoors and gives the teachers extra room for fun yet messy activities like water exploration.
We also love that the outdoor space is perfectly suited for Hanoi’s fickle weather, including a large, covered sand pit / playground; a covered tarmac area that’s great for riding bikes and other push toys; and a grassy playground that gives kids plenty of space to stretch their legs.
The effort the school puts into reaching out to parents and meeting specific needs for the children has been impressive. For instance, our family eats mostly vegetarian, and the school has worked hard to develop nutritious meals to suit vegetarian diets. They also do a range of things designed to involve parents more in the school, such as weekly newsletters, parent-teacher meetings and a children’s art exhibition.
So all around, we couldn’t be happier with our choice of pre-school in Hanoi. We know our daughter can't wait to get back there again this August!
My daughter (4 years) has just finished her first year at Rainbow school. She has learnt a lot from letters, reading first words, to simple additions, from learning how to save water to being a responsible team player, from making pancakes to visiting a sushi restaurant... and a lot more. It was an enriching experience for her and she looks forward to another year as well as to her younger sister joining the school soon. For toddlers there are afternoon activities (messy Mondays and tumbletots) which my 16 months old younger daughter is enjoying very much.
The school is very welcoming, particularly its fantastic relationship manager. Teachers are always attentive, patient and kind. I can recommend Rainbow school to any parent of young kids.
As a foreigner and a first time mum in Hanoi, I was glad when a friend told me about Baby Rhythm class on Wednesdays. Finally, I can get out of the house and do something fun with my baby. He has so much fun, sees other babies his age and the price is acceptable. I would definitely recommend this to other parents with babies!
Many new parents are moving to Hanoi and are only going to be in Hanoi for 2 years because of job contracts etc. If you have a child who is going to be in kindergarten or younger during your time in Hanoi, I highly recommend this preschool. My son will be in kindergarten this year, and has been attending rainbow school for 3 years. We think the facilities and program are the best in West Lake area. If you are moving to the area, then I recommend this school. As a bonus, if you enroll and pay for fall quarter they can attend the fun summer program for free.
