I had heard good things about this place, heard there was a deli counter. There isn't really, it's more like a fridge with pre-sliced meats.
However, I won't complain too much about that, as it was reasonably priced, and paired nicely with the Joma bread and fresh tomatoes that were sold at Dan's for a reasonable price. I also managed to find some cereal, good RASPBERRY (!!) jam and peanut butter.
I was a happy camper until I saw the bill. 975k for everything. I was surprised, and then checked the receipt. My hunk of mozzarella was 285k!!!
So basically, if you are looking for decent prices on Western stuff, go to Dan's. But if you want cheese, go to Citimart at Hanoi Towers.

I never came to this branch until long after the one on Kim Ma closed, because that one was just so convenient for me. It took me a couple of laps of the street to find it, as I was expecting a larger sign out the front.

The range of products here are pretty much what you'd expect, but I find that they're organised a lot more sensibly than some of the other shops targeting things you miss from back home, which means less time staring blankly at the aisles trying to work out why the sauerkraut is wedged in next to the shoe polish and a packet of wheatgerm. We quite often have coldcuts, olives, cheese etc and Dan's has quite a good selection of biscuits to go with them, so we're not just eating AFC ones all the time.

They have a sizeable range of kitchen utensils and baking tins that it never hurts to browse through. And they have a rainbow of food colours - which is the most important part of cake making in my opinion. Prices can be a little steep, but you know that already when you're after these touches from home. I asked them about vegemite one time, as I'd already been to about three other places (all out of stock) and they said they could get some in the next day. I wasn't too convinced, but decided to come back and see, and lo and behold there was about fifteen jars of black gold displacing lesser spreads like peanut butter to shelves that were above eye level. Had no problems with their frozen stuff either.

Just moved into the area and this supermarket is smack bang in the middle of my ride home from work. Good selection of meats out the back, some imported cheeses, stocks vary for both, but most important ive found english muffins there on two thing havent really found anywhere else.

take star off for the small ailes as i have to crabwalk sideways down most of them to get the meat fridges out the back. I find it a bit cheaper than L's place and veges (my locals where i used to live)

nice selections of pastas, sauces, canned foods, canned meats (if your into that) have all the cold drinks in the back, wine/spirits selection is not bad.

We eat here reasonably often and it must be either run by different people to the other Dan's or the staff actually care about you. Pizza is good especially as it's 2 for 1 on Thursdays. The only problem is they don't deliver. The supermarkets are owned by the same family but maybe not the restaurants as the Dan's off Kim Ma seems very poorly reviewed.
