Ordered half a kilo of chorizo online. Didn't get informed there is more than one variant. Got the imported spanish one at thrice the price. Called up management, blamed me for putting wrong order. Obviously, didn't get a refund.

This place is generally fantastic. A great selection of cheeses and meats at a very reasonable price. As far as I can tell it's consistently cheaper than the competition. Great location, excellent gourmet food and always fresh. The owner Marco runs a tight ship too, so I suspect this place will stay good for some time.
One big caveat though, the sandwich delivery seems to always come out much more expensive than pick-up. Sandwiches are charged based on the amount of fillings you have(cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato) so some variance is to be expected every time. However recently the price for delivery seems to have gone up despite there being no delivery fee and the cheeses remaining basically the same price.Sandwiches that were previously about 50k consistently now cost about 75k, and a more expensive cheese/meat combination that used to cost 75-80k now costs about 100k.
I pulled the staff up on this once, and in the process found out they had overcharged me for the ravioli I had delivered too.
As a test, I've gone in to order the same sandwiches over the counter, and they came out much cheaper.
Marco if you're reading this, I love your shop, but you need to keep an eye on how much the staff are charging for delivery items. Something strange is happening with your delivery.

Oasis can cater events ranging from house parties with some dips and nibbles to small dinner parties hosted by lazy cooks to a buffet extravaganza with silver service and the works.

The price is surprisingly reasonable if you just want some finger food, cheese and cold cuts. Staff will come to your house and set it all up (with plates and glasses if you need them) and then return the next day to collect serving dishes etc.

This is the best bit, though: they have a catering booklet with all the different food options and prices for you to peruse and at the back it lists "suggested menus" that previous clients have ordered, featuring.... their names and addresses, contact details and reason for the event (such as, for example, "Michael Jackson Party"). It makes for compulsive reading! You wouldn't believe the kind of fancy parties that go on in this town! Why aren't I invited, eh?

So if you've ever used Oasis catering before then beware - you could be in the book! And while this invasion of privacy is pretty thrilling for nosey people like me, Oasis should probably be more discreet.

been shopping here for 3 years and Marco has never let me down: excellent products and produce, ready to eat home made products and wonderful customer service (there have been at least 3 times where there was either something wrong with my bill or the meat was unsat, and no questions asked i was given a refund and wrongs were made right. this does NOT happen very often, right hanoians?)

Let me start by saying that I really want to give a five-star review. I truly do. I've ordered from Oasis a number of times and have been quite happy with what I've gotten. The meats and cheeses are far superior to all the other delivery delis in town, and the bread is good too. Their pesto, lasagna, and pasta sauces are also pretty good. So there's the positive. Here's why I cannot give them above three stars. A few weeks ago after ordering two sandwiches with smoked beef, mozzarella, basil and olive oil for delivery I was pleasantly (not so) surprised with a wildly different order. Parma ham, mozzarella, lettuce and pickles. Apart from the fact that this tastes like shit, I'm a somewhat practicing Jew so I don't usually eat pork. I found out this order of course AFTER I paid the delivery driver and he sped off. After calling Oasis, they apologized and said they were out of the things I wanted. Fair enough. But PLEASE call me and ask me if you want to turn my sandwich into an inedible sandwich. They refused to return my money, but offered a *discount* next time I order. I haven't ordered yet, as I am afraid they will royally screw me over again. Oasis, if you don't have the things I want that's fine. But please don't take my money and leave me with something no one with taste buds could eat.
