I had suffered a light pain at the left shoulder, because everyday I carried bag ony at this side. Comparing to the other side, it was hard and inflexible. When came here I did not think that it could help but I was really satisfied. The staff only used her hands, not just massaging, very than...

The man is a crook.

After I'd been renting a Honda Wave from him and needed some things repaired, he gave me a temporary bike to tide me over until the repairs were finished. So far, normal.

When the arse suddenly fell out of the bike on the middle of Lang Ha and I had to stop, I called him. He was out of town and didn't give me anyone IN town to contact. It was starting to rain heavily and I foolishly left the bike, on the assumption that it was unstealable as it couldn't move.

When the rain cleared, a couple of nearby taxi drivers examined the bike (so they later told me) and found a number on a sticker on it - slightly different to the original number, it was his garage number. They called it, and shortly two men came to collect the bike.

When they told us this story and we (a Vietnamese friend and I) called that same number to confirm that the garage had the bike, Mr Cao became very rude and abrasive, denying that he had the bike (clearly a lie). The fee for losing one of his bikes is quite high, so unless we could prove that he did in fact have the bike, he'd be constantly chasing me for the money.

Happily, a couple of casual mentions of the police caused him to suddenly realise that he did, in fact, have the bike. I'd advise anyone not to get involved with this man who attempts to play dirty tricks with customers. He and his sister were continually rude when I visited to confirm they had the bike - all else aside, decent renters don't claim they gave you a "perfectly good bike" when it blows up after a day of driving!

It's also worth noting that he doesn't seem to have an actual physical shop you can come look at, which most other renters do. Aside from all the above, this would be a small minus point.

Arrived at my place 10mins after I called him, which was about 1min after I found these reviews....

$45 per month for a Honda Wave, good condition, (although I ran over a nail and replaced the inner tube and found the inner tube had about 10 patches on it). Note I called Mr Cao when I got the flat and he would have sorted it for me but he was out of Hanoi on Tet holiday so I got it done myself. Mr Cao told me not to pay more than 70k, but I got charged 95k, not the end of the world....

2 helmets included...

On the contract I will owe him $1000 if anything happens to bike (i.e stolen)...I'm not sure if this is fair market value or not but seems reasonable to me.

I currently rent from Mr Cao. Honda Wave for the usual 45 dollars per month. He has cheaper bikes - showed me a SYM Angel for 29,- if you want to take the risk.
He will come to your place to give you a look at his bikes and try them out if you let him now in advance in what kind you are interested. Promised me to upgrade me to a Wave RS after one month. Unfortunately I won't find out if he remembers this because I will leave the country soon.
Let me pay for a new tube (my fault I didn't call him right away), because I had a pretty bad puncture and was in a hurry so I had to use a repair shop. Send someone to oversee the repairs to make sure they do a good job though. Speaks good english and seems always available in case of repairs.

Cao is a great man to rent a bike from. I've been renting a Wave from him for about 3 months, and have always found him to be available whenever I need him, and to be on top of oil changes and when the contract is about to be up. I don't have to worry about anything with him. The only potential downside is that if he calls you, be sure to call him back IMMEDIATELY. He has an unfortunate tendency to call every five minutes until he gets in touch with you.
