“In a word, awesome. I honestly don\'t know what I would do if this website didn\'t exist. A wealth of information that is unparalleled to anything I have seen in many other Asian cities. Downsides? Somewhat strict and counter-intuitive rules regarding posting questions. That and a pool of smug us...”
I am living in Tây Hô and in my street, Xuân Diêu, there is a small coffee shop, "Le Chalet Cafe" located at 57 Xuan Dieu (Tây Hô).It is a small social responsible gift shop which help the underprivileged kids in Sapa and Ninh Binh.
Although small, it's a friendly place, where I am sure you will find small gifts before leaving on vacation.
Morover, you can find in this place a real good espresso coffee for a super competitive price in Tay Hô.
A visit does not commit you to anything. But a small purchase will participate in helping children.
Cute place for coffee and gifts with a helpful English speaking staff!
I bought a local handicraft product as a gift with and found their selection quite diverse.
Interestingly, they also stock candles, candy and other interesting products I can't find anywhere else in this town.
If you are looking for a place that provides exotic cute gifts and authentic coffee and yummy fruit juice, or just want to have a pleasant chat with friendly and helpful English speaking staff, this is where you would want to come.
I’ve bought some really nice stuff here which can be found nowhere else. What makes this shop special is also the way they get their customers connected with producers of the gifts by means of shared stories posted on the shop’s walls.
I’ve also had opportunities talking to the shop manager through whom I learnt about their meaningful cause of helping children in poverty-striken areas in Northern Vietnam. This made me feel my money has been well spent at a right place!
If you like Le Chalet Cafe...
