It is a 25m indoor pool. No lane ropes or flags (for backstroke). The price is currently 80,000 and it is open till 9pm every day. I went at 8pm on Sunday and there were only about 4 people in the pool. The water was very cloudy - visibility under 2m, so difficult to see the end approaching. I didn't get a towel or a locker key, but I worked out later you could bring your own lock or put your belongings in a basket and take them onto the poolside.

On a hot summer day, this pool is perfect. With the prices hiking up to 50,000 VND/Person, its higher than most of the other pools thus not too many natives fancy it. It does get crowded still though because of its location. Only drawback was they don't let the guys wear swim shorts... we're forced to wear speedo-like trunks and if you don't have one.... you can rent one out front (kinda disgusting if you ask me so be forewarned... go to a shop and buy a Narsis swim trunk for like 50K before you come here). They do have nice showers though! Water is pretty clean and they don't put as much chlorine as most other places do so your skin wont be harmed.

This is definitely a 'no frills' swimming pool, but its still one of my favourite places to swim in Hanoi, and I usually try and go at least once a week.

During the school holidays I've been able to come more often, but unfortunately, so have Hanoi's youngsters. Its pretty difficult, but not impossible, to swim lengths in this situation (NB: Vietnamese people swim like they drive!).

However, on the vast majority of occasions, there's never been more than 6 or 7 people in the whole pool, and its big enough to spread out.

Last time I was there, a Vietnamese lady tipped me off that they only clean the water on a monday. I dont know if that's true or not, but I've never had any complaints about the water quality.

It's a shame the price has now gone up to 50,000d, but its still a great place for an easy, no hassle, no frills, swim.

I also recommend this place. It is 40 000VND for a swim, and 20 000VND for a locker. Showers are free.

The pool is 25m long, 16m wide (much bigger than Army Hotel). There were quite a lot of people splashing around (6:30am weekday), so there was a fair bit of dodging to swim proper laps....a bit frustrating and requires concentration! But I still managed to get 40 laps in. The water is a bit too warm, so you will get pretty hot if you swim laps.

Apart from a few drawbacks, this place is better than any other pools I have come across, in terms of price, pool length, and facilities. The water isn't too chloriney either.

NB - do NOT wear shoes into the changerooms!
