Due to growth, Atlantic Five-Star English is looking for a full-time academic coordinator for our in-school Cambridge International teaching program in Hanoi.
On this program, students at select state schools follow the Cambridge International Secondary 1 (Lower Secondary / Checkpoint) and Secondary 2 (Upper Secondary / IGCSE) curriculum, in addition to their regular Vietnamese curriculum. Students study Maths, Science, ESL, and ICT. This is part of an ongoing government pilot program, which has potential for further expansion in the future.
Students on this program are bright, motivated state school students who have been specially selected to join the program. Teaching starts at the beginning of September, and continues until the end of the school year in May.
Duties include supervising the expat teaching team; conducting meetings, trainings, observation and feedback; developing curriculum materials; liaising with operations and with schools; and attending school and parent meetings.
Previous academic management experience (preferably on Cambridge International programs)
Previous teaching experience, including experience with Cambridge International programs
Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in a state-school environment in Vietnam
A clean criminal record in home country and in Vietnam
*Other qualifications may be considered if backed by sufficient relevant work experience
Due to the uncertainty of flights reopening, we are prioritizing candidates who are currently in Vietnam.
Expected start date: Jul / Aug 2020
Work time: Mon - Fri, with occasional weekend work required for meetings
