ILA is currently searching for a Teacher Coordinator for our centre at Trung Hoà Nhân Chính, Hanoi.
The Teacher Coordinator (TC) position will have 174 fixed hours per month with 50 teaching hours and 124 academic hours.

The role involves giving ongoing support to teachers including new teachers, observing teachers, helping teachers with resources, and assistance with preparing lessons. The role will also include placement testing, communication between local staff and teachers, as well as conducting workshops.
The exact responsibilities of the position will depend on the needs of the center and the hours available, but typical duties could involve:
New teacher inductions and follow up
Support/organise centre events
YL observations (once standardised)
EA observations (if approved)
Design/implement development plans
Give/design workshops for teachers/TAs
Assist SE/AM finding cover
Upkeep/management of TSC and resources
Support/participate in Teacher Meetings
Support/resolve miscellaneous issues
Lead teacher meetings
New Teacher coordinator induction and training
Act on/follow up complaints
Advise/support FO on age/level issues
Deputise for AM in their absence (acting allowance)
Assist AM with conducting teacher’s interview via Skype or in person
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
A great deal of energy and enthusiasm
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work at weekends
For applications to be considered, applicants will need the following:
A university degree - this must be a bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 year course) or higher
To be a native English speaker or demonstrate native level mastery of English.
A Qualification in English Language Teaching (CELTA, Trinity TESOL or equivalent):
The certification must be from a course that:
- is a minimum of a 120 hours (with at least 40 hours completed in class)
- has an observed teaching component of over 4 hours with real students
- has course tutor feedback
- is from a recognised provider that is externally assessed by an accredited organisation
