I study abroad but I come back to hanoi for summer and Christmas break every year . I will be in 11th grade next year. when I come back to hanoi it gets quite lonely because I don't have any friends in Vietnam. what are some ways I can make friends with people my age (17) and can speak English because I can't speak Vietnamese fluently.
I have been dating a Hanoi girl for a year now. We have got very serious. She is wonderful, always nice to me, she sends me long emails saying she loves me, text all the time, calls me day and night, she is jealous if she even thinks I am near another girl, she is careful with money, and bla bla bla. I had a few concerns a few months into the relationship, a brief list follows: She had no relationship status on her facebook She did not even have one picture of me on her facebook, but about 10^4 pictures of other men and about 5000 friends. I mentioned I was going to get my own facebook she insisted I should not do it. She started to tell me how many guys chase her around Hanoi and how she does not care for any of them. On certain weekends she would go to her "grandmas" house...
Hi there, I was wondering whether anyone has a recommendation for a good dentist in Hanoi, specifically one that does teeth whitening (it's all that caphe sua nong - delicious but shocking for my teeth!!). Any ideas??
Hi everyone. I am planning to go to Hanoi this weekend and I am looking for the shop where I can get Bird Cages (Made with bamboo, Made in Vietnam). Does anyone know where can I get them? (Any street or name of the shop?) Thank you
Anybody know where to get psyllium husk? It's found in most health food shops, some delicatessens and some supermarkets in Australia. I've looked at L's, Dan's, FiVi. No go. ...well, I haven't asked, but I did look.
I'm looking for the Vietnamese equivalent to Watson's Drug Store in Hanoi. I'm not talking about a pharmacy, but a store selling personal care products that are not sold in supermarkets or other places. Big C has a very limited inventory of such products.
Can anyone reccommend 'a person with a van'to move furniture from one part of Hanoi to another? I have tried a few phone numbers -two were not in use and the third could not answer in English. Any help would be appreciated. Chuc Mung Nam Moi to all...
Hey guy I’m moving to Hanoi next April and just want to do some homework on where best to live and look for apartments. We are really looking for somewhere out of the expat westerners bubble of Tay Ho. We would love somewhere predominantly Vietnamese with small alleys and beautiful streets with street food abundant and with fruit and veg markets close by and some gyms. Western comforts aren’t all that important either. I have been looking at Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Hai Ba Trung. What would you all suggest that would most fit the bill? Also if there was some nice parks to walk around that would be a plus. Cheers and thanks for the help

TNH - A little help, please. I'm soon to be arriving in Ha Noi on my first trip to VN. A couple weeks later I'll be going from Ha Noi to Ha Giang. I'm having trouble figuring out my best transportation option. Don't want to hire a private driver just for me, that's expensive and piggy. I am concerned that the bus will be cramped (I am very tall), is that true? I've heard about an "executive bus" premium service of some sort, but can't find any real information about it. I've read that the night bus is dangerous, but it's hard to know how much weight to give those stories. Thank you!
Hi all! I’m currently travelling from ho chi minh to hanoi and need somewhere to watch the final. Is there somewhere that’s going to be open? I know it’s an early morning game but i’m assuming there’s going to be a lot of interest in the game. Thanks!
Hi everyone, I have a medical condition which requires me to have enemas almost daily. Can I buy an enema kit from Hanoi somewhere or should I bring them with me? I’m also curious about a couple things: -What do rubber gloves cost at supermarket -Do Vietnamess use those surgical masks and where can I buy them? -What does rainwear cost at a market? -Are there any international(like US or UK) issues for sale of big magazines for women, for example Cosmopolitan or Marie Claire anywhere?
Hi there. I'm wondering if someone has undergone an IV glutathione treatment. Was it effective or are there any undesirable side effects? Can someone also recommend a good and affordable dermatologist in Hanoi? Thank you!
