This country is a nice country. Unfortunately, many locals have been talking about the bad chemicals in the food that farmers have used to keep the fruit, vegetables, and meat fresh. Additionally, lots of food is being imported from China. One case said that some chicken eaten today is being imported from either the 1960s or 1970s. One case stated that they have chemicals to turn pork into beef. Another case stated some are suffering from sickness and death due to the harmful chemicals in the food. The last case heard was that in some restaurants, they were reusing the old hotpot water from other restaurants to save money. With all these food issues, many people have decided to not go to restaurants or buy food from local farmers. Of course, we wish that something was being done about all this.....

Hanoi Small Goods; quality meats, ask for their menu book on first delivery, they deliver 2 times a day. Use their phone number-their website is unusable.
Metro:big grocery/nice Dalat vegetables at good prices. Use vinegar and water soak all unpeeled or get a vegetable wash, available at Big C. Frozen CP Group chicken frozen.Frozen Tiger shrimps. Chesse cut from large blocks but ok but no ID where they are from. Now coming out with fresh milk but I only trust UHT until further proof.GREAT THAI SELECTION, small but quality. Good rice in Thai section.Avoid weekends or rush shopping ours. Bring earplugs.
Biggest grocery: Big C. 4 locations Good bakery at great prices. Good cheeses.Chicken so-so. Pork nice. Have butchers there.Avoid weekends and wear ear plugs. Too many people at those times.
