Hello everyone. I will be in Hanoi from 3-20-19 to 3-30-19 and am wondering if there are any shops in Hanoi that have vintage (90's) video games. I'm looking for stuff like NEC PC Engine, Sega Megadrive, Nintendo Famicom etc. I've searched the previous answers on this site and it looks like the recommended stores only carry the newer current consoles and games. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Curious about a Reiki sign I saw at the Western Canned Food store awhile ago. It was there for months, but I only just went to check it out this week, and of course, it was gone! boo hoo. If you know this person that was advertising their services or anyone who practices in Hanoi, please let me know. Prefer English speaking person. Thanks, Steph dstephfuccio (at) yahoo.com www.travelgoddess.net
Hi everybody, I have recently purchased a package from ASOS.com in the UK and upon it arriving in Vietnam I have been whacked with a hefty tax charge. Is is only clothing and shoes and they are not designer labels just some standard non branded clothing probably made in Bangladesh. Can you please let me know if this is normal as to total tax bill is approx 35% of the declarable value Total declarable value approx - $ 7.117 M VND Import duties and tax - $1.606 M VND (23%) VAT - $887 k VND (12%) I have asked the import clearance office for a breakdown of the import duties and tax as i think it is too high for the goods I am purchasing. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks, Justin
I am have been using the same Vietttel sim card number for 3 years now and have linked my passport to my mobile number just before 24/4/18 law came into force. I am pretty sure I also paid a fee to register the number to my name for a year too. But I am going to be out of Vietnam for 2 to 3 months now till My 2019 and wiithout roaming (it doesn't seem to work). I just want to ask if anyone has experience of how long they can stay out of the Vietnam and then return to Vietnam and still have their sim card working? I guess it is 60 days till deactivation? I was out for 56 days in 2018 and it still worked on return. Or is it 90 days? I topped my sim ccard up on 27/2 in Vietnam.
I'm a Japanese person living in Hanoi. My current visa will expire on 4th January so need to update it. I hope to get 3 months multiple tourist visa by visa on arrival. However, I cannot take flight so need to get visa by land this time. So far, the agents could prepare visa letters before I reentered other borders by land. I want to try the same way to get visa at Lao Cai border and have a short trip in Hekou this time. But most of visa agents don’t seem to support making visa letter for the immigration of Lao Cai border.. Anyways, I’d be glad if you share information or guide me the best way for this case. Thank you,
who plays violin with jeff beck? the answer is nowhere on you tube despite some rarified playing by the violinist. tabbed as "jeff beck and tal wilkenbucket" - the latter is his bass playing partner but not the violinist. never mind - i don't expect an answer but the "ask" website is now just another search engine
Anyone know somewhere I can get really nice office furniture? Nice design (modern, minimalist, etc.), and not the usual made-of-wood boxy stuff you see everywhere. Don't know if this stuff even exists here in Vietnam, but maybe... Thanks for any help.
Can anyone recommend a place to buy good quality 100% mulberry silk bedsheets that are 19mm? The places I have found are way overpriced. Looking for sets (two pillowcases, one bottom sheet, and a top sheet) that are $60 and under. Thanks!
